[VIE] Supporting student-led innovation with Baby Shark Fund

In February, we announced the launch of the Baby Shark Fund - an initiative designed to supercharge student-led innovation. SUTD student teams of at least two undergraduate or master's level can pitch their solutions to secure a grant to develop their solutions towards tackling societal problems.

At SUTD, we believe innovation holds the key to addressing the world's most pressing challenges. By cultivating a culture of creativity, risk-taking, and continuous experimentation among our students, we aim to nurture the next generation of innovators and change-makers who are trailblazing a better world by design.

With the Baby Shark Fund, students will have the resources to transform course-based projects into viable innovation solutions, allowing them to apply themselves to solve real-world problems. Students can also initiate their own ground-up projects that have the potential to improve society, industry or tackle challenges contributed by our partners.

By supporting student innovation, we believe Baby Shark Fund can benefit not only our students but also our partners and society as a whole. Our students gain invaluable experience in creativity and problem-solving, while our partners have the opportunity to collaborate with young, creative minds in tackling challenges from their own organization or industry.

We invite you to support the next generation of innovators. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the success of our students and the impact of their innovations. Speak with us to learn about the various opportunities to lend your support.
